Training practitioners together can make a significant contribution to building mutually respectful and trusting relationships, which form the foundation of any partnership working; therefore the process and experience of the courses, are as important as the content.

We value the participation of everyone in a range of training opportunities and the contribution this makes to multi-agency working. In order to get the most out of a training event we ask that you consider your responsibility regarding attending and assisting in evaluating the training. Participants should endeavour to have appropriate equipment and adequate space to participate fully in training. Please refer to the Resolving Professional Differences (Escalation) Policy if you have concerns you need to raise

In order to attend Multi-Agency training, you must have a basic awareness of Safeguarding. This should be available within your organisation and may be in the form of an e-training module. We have created basic safeguarding awareness virtual resources which may be used by agencies to support single-agency, introduction to safeguarding training. We may ask for evidence of attendance on basic awareness training or any other pre-requisites as part of registration.

It is expected that you will have the full approval of your line manager/supervisor/ volunteer coordinator before registering for a course. In placing a booking for this course, you are confirming that your attendance on the course at the date and time that you have selected has been authorised by your line manager/supervisor/volunteer coordinator and they are aware of the cancellation policy.

Please be aware that your name and attendance at Safeguarding Boards training courses may be shared with your single agency organisations for their monitoring and recording purposes

We reserve the right to remove individuals from the course who are not the intended audience. You may be requested to provide evidence that you are the intended audience, if this is not clear from your registration.
